We have Two Sewing Courses: one for beginners and the other for advanced training.
Many students travel long distances and walk miles from the surrounding villages to learn sewing in order to improve their economic condition.
As of 2009 more than 200 outside adult students have completed the sewing course and we have sponsored in part over 50 sewing machines to encourage home and cottage industries.
"I am Shibsankar Mondal, I come from a very poor background. My family belongs to the Scheduled Caste and we were living below the Poverty Line. I have completed six months sewing course successfully from Marudyan Vocational Training Centre. Now I am earning money from the sewing job that I presently have. My family and I are very thankful."
