Our Vision: Education
Our Motive: Service to God & Mankind
Our Motto: Act Today
Marudyan Society was started by John Beentjes, his personal family and volunteer co-workers. We put up his personal picture so you would know that this society is a real thing and that they live in India and work here. John says: "We came to India in 1997. Since our arrival we have worked the first 7 years in Calcutta, then in Bangalore helping in Tsunami relief work, and now New Delhi area. As volunteers we have dedicated our lives in service to God and fellowman".
In the year 1998 we formed the 'CALCUTTA MARUDYAN' society. The main objective of our charity is to bring sponsored education to the mainly out-of-school children of the less privileged rural and urban families and give sponsored vocational/skill development training for older students and adults to improve the standard of living and to alleviate poverty, regardless of religion, caste or ethnic background.

Gouri Dhali lives in Jharkali village. She is nine years old. She is trying to catch little fish in the mud. The fish are half the size of her finger. Her neighbour was killed by a tiger this year in a mud pit like this.
Can a child like Gouri get a good education? Yes she can, if you spend a little less each week and send it today as sponsorhip!
(Weekly: U$ 2.40, Euro 2, GBP 1.60 or Rs. 120) (Yearly: U$ 120, 100 Euro, GBP 80 or Rs. 5940)
