| TSUNAMI building of the dormitory for 80 tsunami orphans |
|
Shortly after the TSUNAMI a team of our volunteers moved South to help out in the devastation. We conducted seminars for teachers, donated fishing boats, received funds to build a dormitory for 80 Tsunami orphans, etc., etc.
On May 25th, 2009 the AILA Cyclone!! Disaster struck hard in the Sunderban. Our volunteers have made several trips with truckloads of food and other items into the affected areas. Aila hit hard! Houses destroyed, land salinated and cannot be cultivated for 2 years. Many families plan to move to seek work elsewhere, as they are hungry. Our arrival is an answer to many prayers. "THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF US!"
You can experience part of the joy and gratitude that our volunteers receive by helping us to set up a disaster fund, so we can be of instant, immediate help when the need is greatest.
