Computer Classes the story of Domnik Mondal

Children just like Domnik Mondal

Domnik Mondal from the village of Darrirchak, walks daily nine kilometers to attend school.

His family is extremely poor and he was working in the field to support his family. His family belongs to the scheduled cast (formerly called untouchables or pariah’s). They are living Below Poverty Line (BPL or less than a Euro a day). The family possesses half a bigha (less than one fifth of an acre) of low land (low land is used for rice cultivation).

However, because of the free, high quality education and monthly gift of rice to compensate for the children studying instead of working, Domnik was allowed by his family to attend school."

Domnik is a fast learner in computer literacy and has the potential to enter the IT section when finished with his studies.

Domnik has the potential of earning more salary in one month than his whole family combined earns in one year.
